I am really beginning to love these sorts of posts and this is the latest beauty product that I am keen to share some thoughts on with you. Brows.. we are still going crazy over the idea of perfect brows and I’m no exception. If I could have perfect brows everyday, my makeup routine would be so much quicker! I recently reviewed and raved about the famous *Wunderbrow (review here) and was so intrigued to see how *Maybelline’s Tattoo Brow would compare.
This brow product is slightly different in how it’s applied. For example, for long lasting brows (claimed to last for 3 days) you apply the gel to the natural hairs in the desired shape and leave for a minimum of 20 minutes before peeling off. It is recommended to leave for up to 2 hours for a longer lasting effect and that’s just what I did.
The gel is quite thick whilst you apply and I wasn’t convinced that the formula would dry to a peel-able consistency. I was very thankful and quite surprised that the peeling of the product was really easy and came off in one straight stroke. The brows resulted with a natural looking finish which is just perfect! Of course, if you read the Wunderbrow review, you will know that I like to help form the ideal shape by wiping the edges with a wet wipe. I couldn’t recommend this more, especially with the gel being so pigmented.
So how do I feel and does it last? It has now been 3 days and my brows are still in tact with no budge, no colour fading and no cracking. I have been loving not needing to touch my brows in the morning whilst I’m half asleep and rushing for work. I barely need to neaten them and that to me is quite impressive. Of course this is only the first time using the Tattoo Brow but I’d still happily say that Maybelline are on to a winner with this one.
If you want long lasting, natural looking brows.. give this one a go!
