Hows The Blog Going?

I’ve been blogging for a few months now and thought it would be a good time for a little update. Firstly let me give myself a small pat on the back for sticking with it (vain much?), but seriously I have found it difficult sticking to hobbies in the past and this is not one of them. Thank goodness!

This has by far become my biggest passion and I just love it. My little blog has really grown, particularly over the last month and although it’s endured a lot of changes, I’m really happy and proud of where it is now. No I’m not making tons of money.. so why post everyday? I enjoy blogging too much to stop. Simple!

To be perfectly honest, posting everyday (at 10am to be exact) is rather difficult at times, especially when working a full time job with long days. My creativity level isn’t always on a high but it’s always bounced back and I’m more determined than ever to keep the posts coming. I hope you like them.

I’ve found the blogging community to be such a friendly and supportive place. That sense of belonging is really appreciated and gives me more encouragement to strive. Not only that, having seen my subscribers grow everyday, I couldn’t feel more thankful. It’s an amazing feeling knowing that people are enjoying reading what I write. So if you have subscribed.. thank you times a million!

So, any regrets? I occasionally wish I started out on WordPress and that my photo editing skills were a lot better when I started, but a part of me feels that it is a good reminder of how my blog has grown. Perfect? Certainly not perfect yet.. I will probably never feel like my blog is perfect but I’m ok with that.

I’m super proud to say I have a blog. I’m not shy about the subject anymore because as big-headed it may sound, I am proud of myself and if you blog, you should be too.

I can’t wait to see where ThimblesandSpoons goes next and I hope you enjoy the journey too.

Congratulations! Blogging everyday must be so hard, I couldn’t do it. It’s always good finding the right balance between work and blog life, and it’s ok to change it. Sometimes it takes me 2 hours to write a post, sometimes it takes me 2 days. It can be frustrating when you want to make your blog the best, but everybody goes through it. I use blogger and I love it. Doubt I’ll ever move to wordpress, but there are ways maybe in the future you can migrate over. Your photography skills will improve so much! I cringe every time I look at my photos when I first started out. Keep practising and you’ll find a way of creating photos that are very ‘you’. I can’t wait to hear about your journey, seems like you’ve got a very positive future in blogging. I’m not a total expect, but if you need any help or advice, ask away xx
