A Letter To Myself For 2018

It may be an extremely vain action, but having looked back on the past year (which has been awful) I wanted to make a note to myself for encouragement for the year to come. I feel better for it and if you need to enter 2018 with a nudge of sorts, maybe you should do the same whether that’s publicly or for your eyes only. Here’s to 2018 being a better year for everyone.

A Letter To Myself For 2018

Holly,

Forget about the crap and annoying hiccups of 2017, it’s in the past and that’s where it should stay. Focus your attention and energy on the things you can change and learn to worry less when it’s not necessary.

This year is going to be one of your biggest adventures yet and you should enjoy the moments that are to come. Remember to breathe in overwhelming situations and live for the times of pure happiness. By the end of the year, a lot of positive changes will have happened and you should feel proud of any and all achievements that have come your way.

Continue to blog because you truly love it and who knows where it will take you throughout the year. Remember to take a break without stressing because everyone needs a refresh sometimes.

Ultimately, don’t be so hard on yourself because it hasn’t got you anywhere before. Keep up on the positivity. This is a good year.

P.S Don’t freak out about walking down the aisle, it will be fine.

There shouldn’t be any shame in being proud of yourself or feeling self-worth. This letter is doing just that and although potentially embarrassing in some eyes, I think it’s ok to express feelings like these every now and then. I did say blogging is a form of therapy after all.

This is a great idea to do. I used to write letters to my past self and use it to learn from it. Future self letters are even better because you can reflect on it this time next year. Great post and congrats on your engagement! 🙂
