Oh I love a good post about goals for the next year. There’s nothing quite so motivational for me and I have been reading so many lately that I think it’s about time I wrote my list too. Perhaps a little ambitious with such a busy year for 2018, but I have so many things a want to achieve. I best start asap!
Take part in a blogging course
I have seen plenty of courses relating to different areas of blogging and to be honest, I have been completely sucked in. I have my eye on a couple that I hope will give me more knowledge to help push my blog further along and encourage me to make more beneficial changes. I’m all for putting as much as I can into my blog baby and I can’t wait to keep it growing next year. Any courses you recommend?
Start a YouTube channel
I’m still extremely anxious about this one so we will see if a channel makes an appearance. I am a YouTube addict and I love the idea of sharing your own creative content via video.. it’s just a little (or a lot) daunting. I haven’t gone into depths with this subject yet in regards to what content I would love to share, but I’m hoping to have a the very least, more solid ideas by the end of 2018. Let’s just see if my nerves allow me to explore this one.
Invest in a better camera
I have been using my Iphone for all my blog photos and although I love it, I would like to invest in a camera for better quality images. I’m not jumping into using the biggest camera with god knows what lenses (can you tell I’m not a photographer?) but a decent camera would be good.
See a hypnotist
Bet you haven’t seen this one on many people’s lists have you. I am such a baby when it comes to being sick, yes I’m talking about vomit. Gross right? With a honeymoon planned for the end of the year, I am desperate to try out hypnotherapy to try and demolish my travel sickness when it comes to flying. I am very poorly on a flight and I’d rather not start my honeymoon feeling like crap. This isn’t everyone’s idea of treatment I’m sure, but I am hopeful that this could be the answer, especially considering I have tried countless types of medication on previous flights. Fingers crossed.
Sign up to Tailwind
I have mentioned using Tailwind before via the free trial and I love it. My Pinterest and Instagram have been so much better in terms of views and I will definitely be signing up to a paid membership at the start of the New Year. There’s a reason why so many bloggers have raved about Tailwind.
Be more organised
I have been letting myself go abit when it comes to an organised blogging plan, but I’m slowly starting to work my way back up. I much prefer a scheduled week of posts but sometimes it just doesn’t work out that way. I have a big book of ideas and I’m sticking to it.
Take on some sponsored content
I’m so ready to take Thimbles and Spoons to the next level and I’m hopeful to work with brands more closely next year. This has certainly been something that I was a little nervous about before, but I’m ready to kick start and build more brand relationships in the future.
Look after my body
I don’t diet.. in fact I utterly loathe the word, but I do need to start eating better, especially as I have a wedding dress I need to fit into. The idea of turning up to a dress fitting and being a little too snug honestly terrifies me. I would feel humiliated to say the least. Time for me to get fit and eat a bit more salad before I indulge. And yes I will still be indulging (a little) at times.
Well there it is, my list of goals for 2018. I have many goals that I could add but I’m keeping it simple for the moment. 2018 is going to be an interesting year and these goals will hopefully be a part of that. What’s on your list?
