This year I have been more determined than ever to keep my over-worrying at bay so I have been exploring new ways to boost my mood. There’s a few methods that Have really worked for me so hopefully they will do the same for you too.
Oh I know it sounds a bit “hippie” but I have been using my Echo Dot to play nature sounds for 30 minutes while I try to sleep and it has been bliss. Any natural sounds like rain, waves, birds.. all of it has been the perfect distraction while I try to doze off because I was struggling to shut off from too many thoughts about EVERYTHING. This has been an absolute blessing and I’m getting better quality sleep for it.
Yes I could very well be the last person to say this at times but exercising a little more has been making me feel the benefits. I’m not talking about the physical sides but more the emotional sides. I’ve felt happier, more motivated and the positive vibes have risen. Let’s not forget that you sleep easier too. Push yourself for an extra 15 minutes workout and you will feel so much better for it.
Work and play
I’m not sure how other bloggers like to roll out the posts but I have been trying to enjoy myself a little more than just sitting in front of a screen hoping inspiration will just come to me. I have taken to planning my content and then watching a bit of tv while I write. I know, sounds totally unprofessional right? Well it’s been working and here’s how. I totally chill out while I watch a bit of tv and as soon as a break comes on, I commit to writing for the duration. It really works and you know why? That pressure, pen clicking and finger tapping has gone away.
