I had plans.. big plans of blasting through my next weeks worth of exciting posts but in all reality I’m laying in bed with a pounding headache, a pile of screwed up tissues and some lemon tea (which is vile). What an image aye? Needless to say, this post will be more of a chatty one and I hope you are ok with that.
If anything, feeling run down and poorly makes me appreciate the idea of a “down day” when it comes to blogging. I made a promise to myself last year that I wouldn’t force blog content if I wasn’t up to it and this is 100% relevant today. I’m not totally unmotivated to write but today I just fancied a an honest, casual chat, which I really hope isn’t too boring for you.
I have to mention the most amazing book! I’m not great at reading to be honest. I find it incredibly difficult to dive into a book and feel totally captivated but this book has changed me. It’s not new to the market so you may have already read it but it’s called “My Blogging Secrets” by the wonderful blogger Amber McNaught. It’s a pretty amazing book and I can’t put it down (that in itself is unheard of for me). For any bloggers who want to keep motivated and inspired.. this is the answer. I’m sure somewhere down the line I will post a full review because it’s very deserving of one.
In other news I have been trying to keep my stress levels at a minimum and so far I’ve achieved this a lot better than I would’ve in 2017. I know a lot of people disagree with the whole “new year, new me” attitude but I love the concept of a fresh start and the arrival of a new year feels like the perfect time (at least for me anyway). I’m also trying to eat less junk and indulge in healthier foods. How’s that going? It’s 50/50 but for a self-confessed chocoholic, I have hardly touch it and that is quite the achievement for me.
How’s your new year going so far? Any goals that have proved to be successful? Well I hope you have been enjoying January and are looking forward to the hopefully positive future. I am.. even if I am feeling crappy right now.
