Oh I love a palette don’t you? Two of these gorgeous palettes were lovely pressies for Christmas and the other happened to be a long awaited product that I kindly gifted to myself. Why thanks very much! All of these beauties have been in my sights for awhile and I’m very grateful to be posting about all 3 of them right now. I’m a very lucky girl I know. Can you ever have too many eyeshadow palettes? I’d say no but my bulging makeup drawers suggest otherwise. None the less, let’s get on with it shall we?
*The Jaclyn Hill Palette £37
This highly rated palette has been in and out of stock like a bloody yo-yo and getting my hands on it proved to be difficult until I perused the UK Morphe site at a random point in the day. Success finally! Of course like so many other bloggers, I adore Jaclyn Hill and continuously watch her channel so I knew that this product was a must buy. I’m also a great lover of Morphe so it’s a winner combo right?
This particular palette includes 35 hugely pigmented shades that are made up of a wide selection of mattes and shimmers, all of which are beautiful. Now I’m always going to gravitate towards neutral shades but even I can appreciate the glorious beauty of the rather vivid blue and green tones. I’m not sure I will ever touch them but I certainly like looking at them. Out of the other 30 shades, I can honestly say I will happily use each and every one depending on the occasion of course. Much like all Morphe palettes, these shadows blend effortlessly and are packed full of colour. The pay off is just extraordinary and it’s clear to see the effort Jaclyn put in to this palette (which she talks more about here). This is by far my favourite Morphe palette to date and it’s still very affordable regardless of the big name. This is a true winning palette.
*Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes £33
This may come to quite the surprise when I say that this is my first Too Faced Palette. I would of course be expanding on this in the future but for now I’m happy with this matte palette. This is a palette that feels like luxury due to the very appreciated, rather large mirror. I do love a decent sized mirror don’t you?
This sweet smelling palette is one of my new found favourites and perfect for travel too. There are 12 delicious shades to chose from and all are a nice sized pan. If I had to pick some favourites, I’d go with Peach Meringue, Peach Punch and Peach Sangria to name a few (very peachy indeed). There isn’t a shade I wouldn’t touch which is another reason I would award this the perfect travel palette if you particularly enjoy using mattes like myself. Of course I can’t compare to other Too Faced palettes but I would pay the price tag considering the colours have such impact on the eyes.
Colourpop Double Entendre $16
Oh Colourpop you have been rapidly growing in my makeup storage haven’t you? This brand is fast becoming one of my absolute favourites so it’s no surprise that this palette didn’t disappoint. Full of beautiful gold, bronze and browny tones, this is an ideal palette for both a glam or more natural look. There are 12 shades included which although may not sound a lot compared to the other 2 palettes, for such a reasonable price of $16.. can you really complain? Colourpop shouldn’t be ruled out when it comes to quality because these shadows can pack a surprising amount of punch which I’m sure you will love.
