Lately I have been taking a small step back when it comes to makeup and have allowed my skin a little more time to just breathe. Leaving the house with basically no makeup really isn’t my favourite thing to do but there’s a few products that can certainly help me feel better and fresher even on minimal makeup days.
This is my number one essential for “nearly makeup-free” days. Those dark under eye circles are not your friend and concealer will be a great help in trying to disguise them. A little concealer will freshen up the face and make you look less tired. It’s a must in my books!
Some of my favourite concealers include:
- *Nars Soft Matte Concealer
- *Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer
- *Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer
- Colourpop No Filter Concealer
Avoid the hassle of applying a heavy foundation and opt for a light tinted moisturiser. This will help cover blemishes whilst still allowing your skin to breathe and look healthy. I am still on the hunt for a formula that works for me, but I have heard great things about the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser and the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser. Any recommendations?
A little powder can really help reduce the appearance of natural oils on the face, so no unwanted shine on your T-zone and it’s so quick to apply!
- *Maybelline Master Fixer Powder
- *Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Powder
- *Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder
Open those eyes with a hint of mascara and look awake for the day ahead. Small touches can go a long way and mascara will definitely make a big difference.
What I wear:
- *Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara
- *Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
- *Maybelline Lash Sensational
So there you have it, 4 essentials for minimal makeup days. A tiny bit of effort but big results.
