I’ve been pretty honest when it comes to being in a slump lately and let’s face it, we all go through it. With the change of the month and better weather starting to appear (finally) I’ve been making more of an effort to get out of this unmotivated rut. These tips have definitely helped and I hope they help you too.
Having a Spring clean isn’t an easy task but I always feel a sense of satisfaction after. A clear out of old clothes and make-up is one of my April goals and I feel so much better for it. They do say “clean space, clean mind” right?
Take Time For Yourself
Go for a walk, indulge at the spa or just get lost in a book (in my case Netflix). Whatever you do remember to take some time to just enjoy yourself and clear your mind. There is no forced attention or time restraints to keep to and ultimately your head will appreciate a good rest.
Change It Up
Having a change can give you that “fresh start feeling” you may be in desperate need of. Me, I changed up the blog theme which I wanted to do since posting “5 Professional Blogger Themes Under £15” What do you think? I’m sure a change of wardrobe, a new hairstyle etc would be just as effective too if that’s what you fancy.
Yes, it’s time to do something a little different and get out of the house (or wherever you spend most of your time). Make some plans in your calender to give yourself something to look forward to. Plus, a little outing can be surprisingly inspiring for new blog content.
Turn That Phone Off!
Well don’t I sound like a mum right there? You don’t really have to turn it off, but consider taking a break from social media. The online world can be extremely consuming and not always in a good way. Go focus on yourself and what you want right now. Do something in the real world and check in a bit later.
There you have it, some very simple ways to get out of that dreaded slump. Don’t just hold onto your bad mood, jump into action! You will feel so much better for it.
