My Most Used Apps For Blogging

Many people presume there’s not a lot to maintaining a blog, it’s simply jotting down a post and leaving it for the world to see. It may not cross everyone’s mind that there’s a number of social media platforms and apps that are used to research, edit and promote a blog. These just happen to be a few I use.

My Most Used Apps For Blogging
Bloglovin
Bloglovin is one of the best places to not only promote your own blog, but to read and support other blogs. It’s basically a directory of blogs all over the world and it’s so easy to use. I love a good flick through Bloglovin in the morning, there’s always something new that catches your eye.

What’s even better about this particular app is that your own blog is promoted automatically. When you sign up, you can link your blog which means you don’t have to worry about posting your own content later on. Your posts will be updated automatically for everyone to see. It’s genius!

Colourstory
My favourite app for photo editing by far. There’s everything you need from your basics to beautiful themes. Although you can pay for some themes (which I have done), it’s not a necessity. The free themes are clean and professional looking, perfect to up your blog and Instagram photography.

Tailwind
This is one of my faves for making scheduling a heck of a lot easier. After a 30 day free period, you do have to pay a small monthly fee, but I can definitely say it’s worth it. You can schedule Instagram posts or Pins, or if you don’t mind paying a little extra you can opt for both.

I currently have over 1000 pins scheduled which will be posted at days and times I choose. It’s very easy to use and so helpful for driving blog traffic. I highly recommend making the investment.

Planoly
This is an app I’m still in the mists of exploring but so far I’m really enjoying it. I use Planoly to work out what will look best on my Instagram grid, schedule when to post and to keep a list of hashtags I wish to use depending on my content. I get a notification when it’s time to post and I’m using the free option which I haven’t had any issues with. So far it’s working wonders for making Instagram a little bit easier.

What are your favourite apps?

Bloglovin is my favourite app (it’s actually how I’m reading his right now! Hehe). Adding my blog onto it was the best decision I ever made… that and moving to WordPress

I feel like FaceTune is another blogger fav!
