Primark Amber Palette : Does It Compare To Urban Decay’s Naked Heat?

For the longest time I was against Primark makeup (snobby I know) but recently with so much hype around their beauty range I decided to bite the bullet. I can just hear my mum right now saying “I told you so”.

This palette comes with 10 warm tone shades that are all perfectly sized and it only costs £4! As you may be able to tell from the selection of shades this is said to be a dupe for the very popular Urban Decay Naked Heat palette which happens to be one of my favourites. Of course there are a few differences such as the Primark palette having a few brighter options and the Naked Heat providing 12 shades, but in general it’s a fairly close match. Primark have been making some incredible dupes lately that compare to Urban Decay, KKW and more.

Diving into the Amber palette abit more it’s clear that the Primark product offers a lighter shimmer shade selection which depending on your reference can be good or bad. I’m personally not complaining. As pigmentation goes when comparing this palette to *Naked Heat, I’d say that it took longer to gain a vivid colour swatch when testing out some of the shades. You have to work a lot harder for colour payoff but as it’s only £4, is it really much of an issue if your on a budget? The shades are easy to blend and feel light and comfortable on the eyes. There’s not a lot of kick back left in the palette which to be honest really surprised me.

Verdict?
I am a sucker for a high-end palette so I’d be hard pushed to pick this up over Naked Heat, however having said that I am surprised at how much I like the Amber palette. I definitely use it more often than I anticipated and actually I tend to combine shades from both palettes and guess what? They work well together.

As quality goes it’s clear that Urban Decay costs more for a reason given the pigmentation, packaging, mirror and the brush addition. A mirror would be something I’d really appreciate from Primark but it doesn’t put me off. At the end of the day you can’t complain about a £4 palette. Il be keeping an eye out for more.
