Never will I ever claim to be a pro when it comes to applying eyeliner, it’s just never going to happen. I’ve always been the type to create a perfect wing on one eye and achieve nothing but a wonky mess on the other. Needless to say I broke up with eyeliner for the best part of a year.
I bit the bullet a little while ago and picked up a NYX eyeliner that captured my curiosity, that eyeliner was the *NYX Super Fat Eye Marker and it changed the game for me completely. Although I’ve preferred pencil formulas in the past, this marker idea really works for me. It’s incredibly easy to apply in one quick glide and there’s no faffing involved. Why? Because the colour pay-off is just dreamy and you really don’t have to double up on layers for an even line.
As for thickness, because it is after all called a “Super Fat Eye Marker” I’d say it’s almost adaptable depending on how you apply. Now I know that sounds a bit ridiculous but from what I’ve found, I can press down fully for a thick application or concentrate on the tip of the marker for a skinnier look. It’s all down to preference.
If skinny is the only option for you, I’d suggest you pick up the *NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker (the sister of the Fat Eye Marker). This has become my most used out of the two and that’s mainly down to tip size. Much like the other marker, it’s glides on easily and is packed with pigment. It’s adaptable to achieve all desired eye looks but of course this is better for more subtle drama. It’s definitely more of your everyday eyeliner and I love it.
Both options are perfect for less confident eyeliner users like myself. There’s little faffing, no drying out and they don’t take an age to apply for a perfect finish. Something I thought I’d never say about an eyeliner let alone two.
