It doesn’t matter how old you are when visiting the Disney parks, character interactions are fun for everyone. In fact I’d say character interactions are a must.
If you want to really get the most out of your time with your favourite characters, there’s a few ways to do it. And why wouldn’t you after all that time queueing?
So if you are about to embark on a trip to Disney World, Disneyland or any other magical Disney park, here’s some tips to keep in mind.
Show that you’re celebrating
I’ve mentioned this before but seriously if you are visiting the Disney parks during a celebration, grab a badge from your hotel or guest relations.
Wearing a badge can be a great way of showing characters that this visit is a little extra special to you and no doubt they will help make it memorable. Honestly I have so many memories that were so unexpected but made the trip all the more magical.
Have you danced with Goofy and Max or taken a stroll around The Garden Grill with Chip? I have and you can too.
I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve been in line for a character only to watch the people in front give Mickey Mouse a quick hug, smile for the camera and leave. Where’s the magic?
This my friend is just boring! Now I know our furry friends can’t always speak but they still happily make conversation (believe it or not) so make it worth their while too.
Think of something that character can relate to and just go with it. Did I care I sounded a bit daft when I asked Woody if there was still a snake in his boot?
Show them they’re your favourite
If you are like me and plan when you are going to meet a particular character, why not coordinate your outfit too? It is great for the Instagram theme too right?
When I meet Chip and Dale (my all time favourite pals), I always make sure I wear my chipmunk ears because it certainly creates a talking point and they love it.
So, are you ready to meet some characters? I know I am!
