January Favourites : The Royal Review

Is that it? January is over? In all seriousness January has felt like an eternity and although Christmas was so long ago, I feel like we are already halfway through the year.

Just like every other month, January presented some new favourites especially in the makeup department and I have to share them with you.

So now I invite you to relax, let you pull up a chair as I proudly present.. my favourites. And if you don’t get that reference I feel I have failed the Disney community.

Jeffree Star Blood Sugar Palette

Why hello stunning new palette in a luxurious red case. Boy am I glad I finally added this into my rather full collection. I mentioned this palette a little while ago commenting on it’s fabulous pixiedust-like shadows but there’s so much more I love about this palette.

This palette is a treasure chest of warm tones and I can’t get enough of it. If all Jeffree Star shadows blend like this, I need more. And did someone say pigment?!

L’oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation

I grabbed this foundation back in November when I was blissfully strolling along the beauty aisles of Walmart. I remembered having a similar L’oreal foundation a while back and grabbed this in the hopes that it would compare.

Thankfully it does only this time it’s more glowy. Of course it would be considering it has “glow” in the name but I thought I’d state the obvious. Now you know me, I love a dewy foundation and this is the epitome of dewy.

If you are on the hunt for a matte foundation, this is not the one for you.

The coverage isn’t incredible but it is buildable and considering it’s a drug-store product, a little extra work isn’t such a downside. It’s light on the skin, very comfortable and gives you a subtle radiance to feel almost princess-like.

Airspun Loose Face Powder

Ok I know I’ve mentioned this before but it definitely deserves a place in my January Favourites because I can’t put the stuff down. Have you tried it? Because I really can’t describe how light and silky this powder feels on your skin.

I am forever using this to set my under eyes and with the help of a Beauty Blender, it’s practically luxury. I’m also pretty convinced that this has eradicated any creasing under my eyes so it’s a winner for me.

Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder

I feel like every American beauty guru has mentioned this at least once so I went ahead and picked one up. Of course I’m a fan but it’s not my go-to for setting product under my eyes.

Instead I tend to use this for a quick dusting all over to keep any unwanted oils making an appearance. And do you know what? It does the trick.

Milani Powder Blush – Blossomtime Rose

Well I’m not exaggerating in the slightest when I say this is the best blush I have ever used. I don’t know if it’s because of the silky texture or the beautiful rosey tone, but whatever it is I am obsessed.

And can we take a moment to appreciate it’s Beauty and the beast enchanted rose vibes? I’m sold!

Kylie Lipstick – Nova

Can you believe that I am praising a lipstick that isn’t in liquid form? It’s been awhile but it’s all thanks to my husband making a sneaky Kylie purchase for Christmas. The boy did good!

So I haven’t touched this formula of lipstick in at least a year and this surprising little purchase has totally encouraged me to start using them again. Maybe my once loved MAC lippies will come out for a play soon. This lipstick happens to be the most beautiful warm rose tone and although it’s a matte finish (like all my other lipsticks) it feels light and comfortable on your lips.

No drying over here thank you! It’s not as long-lasting as the Kylie liquid lipsticks but it’s a great product that doesn’t take any effort when you need a quick top up.

Maybelline Tattoo Brow

Here’s an oldy but I’m back into using this and now it’s actually run out.

I’ll be honest, I hate doing my brows before work in the morning and although I only do my brows and mascara, I’m pretty lazy at 6am in the morning. Who isn’t? Tattoo brow makes this a whole lot easier.

I chuck this on my brows on a Sunday night, leave it for a couple of hours and peel off before bed. My brows are then set and ready for nearly the whole week. There may be the odd pencil top up during the week but still it’s a big time-saver.
