Eyeshadow palettes are a huge addiction for many people including myself, but as much as I love a bit of a splurge on the latest Naked palette, I also love a good bargain. Thankfully high-street brands have been bringing out some amazing products with just as much colour pay-off as some high-end. If you’re on a budget and are looking for some shadows that pop, these are for you.
*NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette
By this point everyone has heard of NYX due to their impressive product lines at affordable prices. I’ve raved about them and so have so many others. One product I picked up months ago was the Ultimate Shadow Palette in the shade Warm Neutrals and I was impressed from first use. Each Ultimate Shadow Palette comes with 16 shades, all of which are packed with pigment and blend easily. Being an absolute sucker for warm tones I knew this would be a winner, however I hadn’t anticipated I would want to try other variations of the palette including Brights which is the most colourful palette I’ve ever seen (so far from my comfort zone). Each palette costs a reasonable £16 which basically means you are spending £1 per shadow. Totally worth it in my book.
*Revolution Pro Supreme Eyeshadow Palette
When Revolution brought out the Pro range I was curious about how the products would perform due to their impressively low price points. The Supreme palette caught my eye as an in between before diving into some of the larger Regeneration palettes. Of course I chose the warm palette Intoxicate, no surprise there. In all honesty I wasn’t expecting too much, although all 8 shades looked beautiful the idea of there being some shimmers didn’t bode too well with me. Let’s just say I’ve been disappointed with some high-street shimmers in the past. I expected to only reach for the included mattes but I was pleasantly surprised. The shades are rich and intense with the shimmers performing just as beautifully. For £6 there’s no way you will be disappointed. It’s also a palette ideal for travel.
Never did I think I’d recommend Primark beauty products to anyone but over the last year Primark makeup has received a ton of great reviews. When I compared the Primark Amber palette to the famous Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette, I was blown away with how the shadows look. Since then I’ve tried out a few more and although they will never take place of my high-end babies, I appreciate having them in reach. £4 is a ridiculous price that no one can resist.
