A staple to every one of my Disney trips is Fantasmic. This nighttime show is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before and even though I may (will definitely) cry, I still want to ensure that my makeup is looking flawless regardless of spending the day in the park.

Coverage in the Florida heat is sometimes tricky and I want to look my best when snapping some potential Instagram shots. These high-end foundations will see me through no matter what and they deserve your attention.

Kat Von D Lock-It Liquid Foundation

Back before all the negativity and wicked talk surrounding Kat Von D, *this foundation had a lot of hype. It was the thing of dreams and I argue it still is. Call me crazy but I’m still a fan of the Kat Von D brand and this foundation started it all off.

So you want.. no you need coverage? Well this foundation is the epitome of coverage but it dries down to a very matte formula. Don’t get me wrong, this is great for some people but for others it can be a thing of nightmares.

So if you are feeling a little cursed lately with bad skin days, maybe look for something a little dewier until you have defeated this little issue. otherwise this foundation is a contender.

Yes this foundation, when in the right hands can be the ultimate hero. Why? Because this liquid foundation will camouflage every imperfection with only a couple of pumps.

Be warned this foundation dries down quickly so make sure to go in quick with your Beauty Blender to get an even coverage. Once it’s all blended out, you’ll be left with a flawless finish, set to last all day.

Nars Sheer Glow

Once upon a time this was the holy grail foundation that opened the chapter to high-end foundations for me and I’ve used it for years since.

Don’t be fooled by the name, this is not just a *sheer foundation. In fact this liquid foundation is the perfect formula for a natural glow whilst being buildable to a medium coverage.

The formula is extremely lightweight so no feeling of “cakeyness” and leaves the skin feeling hydrated.. almost like a fairytale state. The only tiny strobe of disappointment is that this particular Nars foundation does not come with a pump, so I highly suggest purchasing one for easy, nightmare-free application.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid

I know what you are thinking.. come on Holly “use your imagination” (if you have seen Fantasmic before, I hope you sang that line in your head) but the *MAC Studio Fix Fluid still needs some love.

Sure it was the big foundation that everyone and their evil step mother raved about but it’s for good reason. This truly is a spectacular foundation and I still use mine regularly.

This MAC formula creates an ideal light matte texture whilst easily concealing any annoying imperfections such as red areas. This is also incredibly easy to blend and is great for everyday wear.

High-end and high-street foundations
Fancy a pin?

So go on and dream a fantastic dream of these high-end foundations, because they really are what dreams are made of.

The Kat Von D has become my got to for full coverage; I think it's definitely worth the extra money because, like you, I think the bottle will last me ages!

I'll have to try the Revlon at Kat Von D! It sounds like we have a similar skin type and I love both the Nars Sheer Glow and MAC Studio Fix!

I worked it out πŸ˜‰ Can't recommend them more, I highly suggest getting a shade match for Kat Von D first. Let me know what you think If you try it out!

Love the Nars Sheer Glow foundation it’s my all time fav. I agree though, getting the pump is a must or when you’re pouring the product you just end up wasting it all.
