April Favourites

May 1, 2018 No Comments

Another month has gone already which entails the arrival of another monthly favourites post. I’m sure it was Christmas only last week right? Well April has been a whirlwind of favourites for me and not just in the beauty department. Buckle up for a long one.

April Favourites

Jane The Virgin
Yes I’m starting my list with a Netflix fave (or two) and Jane The Virgin is my latest obsession.. and I mean obsession. In a couple of weeks I have raced through seasons one, two and most of three, that’s got to be a clear indication of how addictive it really is. I won’t go into details but there’s a love triangle, drama, an unexpected pregnancy and of course a virgin. It’s the perfect combination of comedy and drama and it’s the perfect “easy watch” for a day in with a throw and some popcorn.

Girl Boss
Well I did say there may be another Netflix fave. Bloggers everywhere have praised the popular book Girl Boss for being a must-read. I haven’t had a chance to pick it up myself but when scrolling through Netflix I saw Girl Boss had been made into a series and I had to get in on the action. It was fabulous and I loved season one, the only issue is.. it was cancelled. Devastated is an understatement and now I’m left feeling desperate for more. I may have to grab the book sooner than I thought.

*L’Oréal Paradise Primer
I really didn’t anticipate that I’d need this in my life but here it is, slap bang in my monthly favourites. The difference this makes to your lashes is unreal and now I’m using it almost daily. If you love the Paradise mascara, you will love this primer even more. It’s a must!

*Too Faced Love Flush Blush
It may be a mouthful but it’s hands down one of the best blushes I have ever owned and I’m no doubt going to buy another later on. It’s pigmented without being too harsh or unflattering and the packaging alone is too cute to miss.

*Beauty Blender
Wow have I seen a difference since switching to a Beauty Blender. Don’t get me wrong I do still enjoy a Real Techniques Complexion Sponge, but a BB just seems to apply Foundation a little more effectively without soaking in any product. Of course the cost is a little higher but I’d say it’s well worth every penny.

*Revolution Pro Pore Primer
The Pro range has had so much hype and I’m really not surprised. My daily primer duties were transferred to Revolution Pro’s Pore Primer as soon as I tried it and I can definitely see a difference. Details? Don’t worry, there will be more on this soon.

Phantom Of The Opera
I’m a lover of all musicals and this was always on my list to see on the stage. Last weekend I finally got to do just that and it was of course incredible. It’s the most amazing show with such a talented cast and the songs are so powerful we had to buy another copy of the CD.
