Ever wondered how Ariel keeps her hair looking so rich and vibrant? Even the sea water doesn’t seem to dull those locks! Well I think I’ve found out her secret and If you want to keep your hair looking mermaid-perfect, the L’oreal Elvive Colour Protect range is for you.

Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo

Surely a shampoo is just a shampoo right? Wrong my friends! But I once thought the same too. Having dyed my hair way too many times in and out of the salon (yes there’s been some disasters) I longed for a shampoo that didn’t leave my bath looking like a pool of mud.

Sick of the days when I dreaded washing my hair in fear of draining all colour from my hair. It was a bloody nightmare trying to keep up and who can afford to keep getting their hair done? I sure can’t.

Well I went through bottles of miracle-promising products and to no surprise the results were disappointing and my hair had never looked so dull. Fast forward to Elvive. Bought on a whim purely because the Tesco shelves were greatly lacking. Call it fate perhaps because this turned out to be a great purchase.

Of course you use the *Elvive shampoo in much the same way as any other only this time the shampoo really lathers up which isn’t always the case for a Colour Protect product. Am I right?

A little goes a long way and great news, there’s hardly any colour drainage. This shampoo is the bubbles!

Elvive Colour Protect Conditioner

And after all that glorious shampooing you may as well complete the process with the *Elvive Colour Protect conditioner

Another product that makes big results with little formula. I slather it on, comb it through with my dinglehopper and leave it for a minute or two.

When I’ve finally gained the motivation to actually dry my hair (which is admittedly quite rare), I’m always amazed by the silky texture and healthy glow.

Call it princess-like? I would.

So for all you mermaid-loving, hair obsessed gals, Elvive Colour Protect is a range to be tried. As for me, well I’m hooked (ok that’s a pretty bad pun right?).
