So you’ve just got back from the most magical place in the world and now the Disney-blues/post Disney depression (PDD) has struck. I know that feeling well.
There’s just no denying this feeling sucks! But there are some things you can do to help recover from the lack of pixiedust you are experiencing.
Organise the photo album
It’s a little tradition that on every trip to a Disney Resort, Jase and I buy a photo album. We try to make good use of Memory Maker in the parks because we love to look back through all the memories.. Am I sounding too sappy?
Downloading your vacation photos and organising them into a photo album or scrapbook can surprisingly be a great way to relive the magic from home.
Disney film binge
Grab a handful of your favourite Disney films, your Disney Parks throw and get cosy! A few hours of guilt free Disney time can be just what you need and there’s nothing wrong with bringing Disney into your home.
A little movie binge is a great way to distract your mind and escape for moment. You my friend deserve it!
Would you believe that Jase and I watch Disney vlogs every single night? Well we do and I love it! It’s the best way to feel apart of the magic and keep up to date with all the park news.
Hey, we all need a hobby right?
Vlogs, POVs, parade soundtracks.. I love it all. And yes I may (definitely do) still cry when I play Fantasmic or Happily Ever After. Just me?
I’m not on about your typical comfort food (although cookie dough always sounds tempting) but Disney snacks. In the words of a little blue rat (and I don’t mean Tutter from Bear In The Big Blue House.. oh memories) “anyone can cook”. Now I’m not sure I really believe that but it’s worth a go right?
Scroll through Pinterest or go old school and find some old Disney cookbooks and look for your favourite Disney park treats.
I have been known to make Mickey shaped crispy treats (more like 100s for our wedding) and I’ve seen a few YouTubers share recipes for cheese burger spring rolls and dole whips. There’s a recipe for everything!
So go and treat yourself to a little Disney you-time and as for those pesky Disney-blues.. let it go!
