You’d think that being a princess I’d be the organised type and have the morning routine nailed. You know, up at the crack of dawn, hair done to perfection and have already completed 3 royal duties by 7.05. Well that’s just not me. Sure it sounds perfect but this princess needs her sleep.
It’s not like I don’t try to stick to a good routine, but that alarm clock and I just don’t seem to click. So if you really wanted to know a realistic morning routine (princess or not), here it is.
The dreadful high-pitched squeal of my alarm clock goes off and I hit snooze.
After multiple hits of the snooze button and a close call to throwing the clock across the room, I have a personal wake up call from the Butler.
I should at this point get up but I decide I need a quick flick on Princestagram before committing.
My hair looks more like one of the shrubs from the royal gardens than actual hair and the only way to try and tackle this is with a Tangle Teezer.
After brushing out numerous knots for what feels like a lifetime (I honestly don’t know how Rapunzel coped before having a chop!) I take a quick shower.
Now for skincare. I’ll admit I’ve been pretty lazy in the past. It’s not exactly exciting scrubbing and moisturising your face but since Elsa has opened the gates of the palace, I feel it’s best to keep my annoying spots at bay. I don’t want to scare the public right?
So what do I use? I start with a quick cleanse using the *Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Charcoal Facial Wash. It’s not exactly at royal prices but it works better than anything I’ve tried before. It clears out all my pores and helps wake me up with it’s fresh scent.
After a cleanse I grab the *Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic to remove any remaining dirt. That is unless Elsa has decided to “borrow” it and I have to find some sort of replacement. Sister problems right?
And finally, if by some miracle I haven’t decided to just admit defeat and go back to bed for the remainder of the day, I slather on some moisturiser.
Verdict? My skin feels amazing!
Time is ticking and I need to pick an outfit.
I’ve tried on nearly a whole wardrobe of clothes and still no outfit!
I’m now incredibly late and (surprise) still not sure on my outfit choice. Is a midi-skirt and boots acceptable for Winter? Well I’m going with it and Elsa can just try and rein in the snow. I know the cold never bothered her, but it’s really starting to bother me.
Run out to get to the latest royal affair before it’s completely over, but of course still have time to grab a hot chocolate on the way out. What’s a girl to do?
So there you have it, a realistic morning routine of yes a princess. Sound familiar at all?
