I haven’t always been the biggest user of Rimmel foundations but having recently run out of many of my high-street foundations, I picked this up out of curiosity. Putting my hands up now, I will admit that I have not tried this out for 25 hours but I’m not convinced many people would want to wear a foundation for that amount of time anyway.
The idea of a breathable foundation really calls me. I hate a cakey, thick feeling foundation on my skin. Thankfully this product is true to it’s claim and doesn’t feel uncomfortable or suffocating after application. This is in fact so lightweight, I barely feel anything. A win from Rimmel!
The applicator for the *Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable foundation is something I really must praise. I really have never used an applicator quite like this and I’m a fan. Not quite a sponge or a brush (I’m clearly no good at technical applicator names here) but applying the foundation is so easy and mess-free due to its perfect size. I love it!
Now let’s talk coverage. On first impressions I thought this was going to be a really light and sheer coverage, but thankfully the coverage is buildable. Hallelujah! Blemishes are easily concealed and blending is a very easy task. It’s really an all round win and I’m very pleasantly surprised. This particular foundation may have just made me want to explore other foundations from the Rimmel brand. For £8.99 and with a SPF of up to 20, can you really complain? Certainly a great buy.
